THE 2008 WALK TO REMEMBER
"Imagine blinding sun, breeze in leaves of red and gold, chalk-names and grass, cartwheels and tears." – Kate Inglis
On October 4, 2008, more than 400 of us – parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, and siblings – gathered at the beautiful Alberta Legislature grounds in Edmonton, Alberta to walk, remember, honour, and celebrate little lives lost.
So generous! Thanks to you, over $15,000 in cash donations were raised for the Families First Society, our 2008 beneficiary. And you did it! Our ‘Bear Hugs’ Teddy Bear Drive was also a huge success. You brought over 250 new teddy bears! All were given handmade tags and donated to local hospitals so that grieving parents who have just lost their baby have something to hold on to.
Thank you for joining the 2008 Walk to Remember. Your participation meant a great deal, not only in honouring these little ones, but in letting others know that moving forward does not mean forgetting.
