BENEFITING THE TINIEST,
YET BIGGEST, OF CAUSES

We know that death can be a difficult subject to talk about, especially when little babies are involved. But that’s exactly why we need your help.

If we could raise more awareness about baby loss and its tremendous impact on families, we could help bring true compassion and understanding to thousands of hurting moms and dads. Walk to Remember is a way for us to do this. It is a chance for families to publicly remember their baby's life – no matter how brief – alongside others who have endured the same incomparable grief.

While many pregnancies end with a happy arrival, many do not. You'd probably be shocked to know that Alberta has the highest infant mortality rate in Canada. Over 15,000 little lives are lost every year through various circumstances.

Parents who have lost a baby feel like they have to grieve in silence. Even though the incidence is staggering, no one wants to talk about it. And so, baby loss is often referred to as a "silent sorrow".

Thanks to Walk to Remember, bereaved families find they are not alone, and that makes all the difference.
